What can I even say?#
For some reason, I love this game. I can’t really explain it. By all objective measures, it’s not very good. I don’t even really like the anime it’s based on all that much. But for whatever reason I always come back to this game every once in a while.
One of the many problems it has is that the cutscenes go on for way too long and feature really (funny) bad voice acting. I started off this project thinking it would be fun to come up with a way to skip the cutscenes using cheats in PCSX2. And I did! I pretty much figured out a good way to do it. It’s not 100%, could still use some work. But it’s a pretty solid solution that just needs some tweaking.
And yet#
I’m still here, finding new things to do. I (mostly) figured out how the 3d assets are stored on disc and how to unpack them, for example. I’m hosting the extracted models here! Maybe this will turn into a full decomp? I don’t know!
